Crews are responding to reports of a fire at the Marathon Petroleum facility in Texas City.
– One employee at the Marathon Galveston Bay Refinery in Texas City has died after a fire was reported Monday morning, the company said.
There is a fire at a unit at Marathon. Emergency responders are on scene. No shelter in place is needed, and there is no threat to the community.— City of Texas City Marathon said the cause of the fire was still under investigation. There’s no word if any other employees sustained injuries during the incident.
