One person was killed, and one person was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Limestone County.

William Thornton | [email protected]. Reginal King of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said the incident happened about 6:40 a.m. on Black Road at the intersection of Mooresville Road, about 10 miles north of Athens.

Shirley Morrison Gore was killed when the 2007 Chevrolet HHR she was driving was struck by a 2006 Dodge Ram, driven by James A. Nalley, 29, of Athens. Gore was pronounced dead at the scene.
