Obviously the likes of Goku, Bulma, Vegeta, and Piccolo are starring characters in Super, along with Gohan, Trunks, Goten, and the other Z-Fighters of note. Not only that, but a great deal of side characters have made appearances as well, including Oolong, Yajirobe, and Korin.
8 Pirate Robot Pirate Robot was introduced in Dragon Ball chapter 75, and was basically one of those villains that was all aesthetic. The creature looked like a fully-robotic and skeletal Xenomorph from the Alien franchise with pirate symbols littering its body. Plus, it wielded a giant sword and machine gun.
5 Upa Upa is a member of a native tribe originally responsible for guarding Korin’s Tower. Back in Dragon Ball chapter 84, Upa was just a child whose father was killed by Taopaipai while the assassin was trying to kill Goku. This trauma made Upa and Goku close, especially after Goku avenged his father’s death, and then used the Dragon Balls to bring Upa’s dad back to life. Not only did they have a connection during childhood, but Goku and Upa actually reunited many years later in Dragon Ball GT.
