During a press conference Sunday morning, L.A. County Sheriff Robert Luna described the suspect as an Asian male between 30 to 50 years old, based on preliminary information. A more detailed description was not available."We're serious about catching this suspect and bringing him to justice," Monterey Park Police Chief Scott Wiese said.
In that incident, which occurred 17-20 minutes after the mass shooting, a "male Asian suspect walked in with a firearm and some individuals wrestled the firearm away," Luna said.Authorities said they were also searching for a white cargo van, but it's unclear in what capacity that vehicle was involved in the situation.However, as the investigation continues, a
Luna said said five women and five men are among the deceased victims. Those victims have not been identified yet.
