Not all movies can be good, but some films have done so poorly that they've either been criticized or completely disowned by their own directors.
There has been a myriad of bad films since the medium's inception, but some movies have performed so badly that their own directors have gone so far as to disown their creations. Directors taking their names off a movie's credits isn't something new. However, it's hard to imagine creating something and then hating it so much that one doesn't even want their name attached.

While considered something of a cult classic today, Lynch's Dune was a critical and commercial failure.
