By the time he appears in The Dark Knight Rises, Blake's instincts for hero work seem well-honed. He was able to deduce that Bane's henchmen were pouring concrete laced with polyisobutylene and motor oil and handles himself very well in several fights with Bane's men, refusing to surrender the city to them easily.
