If you’re anything like my family, you love eating Thanksgiving dinner but hate preparing it. If you’re anything like me, you would prefer to stay away from the melee of patrons at restaurants who are also looking to escape cooking duty. Luckily, you can have your pumpkin pie and eat it too this year. Many restaurants in the D.C.
Appetizers and sides include roasted butternut squash soup, mixed green salad with homemade Thousand Island dressing, sourdough stuffing with “rooftop” sage, maple glazed sweet potatoes with candied pecans, mashed potatoes with “rooftop” chives, caramelized Brussels sprouts with or without bacon, extra pan gravy, and cranberry sauce.Bidwell serves three sizes of roast turkey, complete with cranberry sauce, gravy and stuffing, for $165 to $220.
Federalist Pig’s Thanksgiving, or “Fedsgiving,” is a barbecue lover’s dream. Its meals come in regular or large and provide you with smoked turkey, cluster slider rolls, cranberry barbecue sauce, homestyle gravy, four to six sides of your choice and one to two desserts of your choice. The regular size is $185, and the large is $295. You can also order meats, sides and desserts from an a la carte menu.Place your order before Nov. 17 for pickup on Nov.
Stanford Grill in Columbia and Rockville is accepting orders for its pickup-and-reheat Thanksgiving dinner. Its set menu serves four people, though you can also purchase chickens, turkeys and sides a la carte.
