The greatest powers Green Lanterns lack.
The Green Lantern Corps might be powerful, but they aren’t the only brightly-colored ring-slingers in the wide DC Universe. Though the verdant-hued fighters for justice may be the most well-known Lanterns, rival factions were born out of the many other lights of the Emotional Spectrum. These additional organizations operated much like the Green Lantern Corps, albeit based on various emotions such as anger or hope.
2 Ultraviolet: Corruption The strange Ultraviolet Lanterns aren’t the most prominent corps in the Emotional Spectrum, but they have a sinister power. Members of the Ultraviolet Corps can use their rings to tap into the dark parts of other being’s psyches and bring out their worst selves, corrupting them. Once overflowing with negative feelings, they can be forcefully assimilated into the ranks of the Ultraviolet Lanterns.
5 Orange Lantern: Maximum Charge Larfleeze is the only Orange Lantern in the DC Universe since the Orange Light of Avarice creates intense feelings of greed. As such, Larfleeze refuses to let anyone touch the handheld Central Orange Lantern Power Battery. But thanks to Larfleeze being a solo act, he can charge his ring to unheard-of levels. At a maximum charge, Agent Orange’s Power Ring can hold a 100,000% charge, shattering the limits of other rings.
8 Blue Lanterns: Red Lantern Purification Speaking of the Red Lanterns and their heart conditions, there is a cure for the Red Power Ring and it’s something only the Blue Lanterns are capable of. The Blue Lanterns can purify and undo the toxic hold on a Red Lantern. Thanks to the passionate hope the gentle Lanterns hold, a Blue Power Ring can restart a Red Lantern’s heart and free them from the ravenous madness Red Lanterns are known for.
11 Star Sapphires: Crystal Conversion The Star Sapphires believe that love can save the universe, by any means necessary. While most organizations seek out new members based on their faction’s specific emotion, Star Sapphires can ‘convert’ new recruits through a conversion process. Potential members are encased in pink crystals where the Sapphires' values are implanted in them. Upon exiting, the recruit comes out a full-fledged Star Sapphire.
