A 15-year-old juvenile has been charged in connection to Monday’s burglary at an Oak Forest gun store.
Repairs were underway Tuesday at the Eagle Gun Range in Oak Forest after a vehicle smashed into the building early Monday morning as part of a theft of firearms.
The juvenile faces 10 counts of unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a stolen firearm, burglary, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, felony criminal damage and possession of ammunition without a valid Firearms Owners Identification Card, said Oak Forest police Chief Jason Reid.to an alarm at Eagle Gun Range, 5900 W. 159th Street, and found a vehicle driven into the southern wall of the building. It was later determined that the vehicle was stolen, police said.
Four people entered the store and stole 28 firearms, police said Wednesday, five more firearms than previously thought.
