He was a game warden with tons of knowledge about predators and no one listened to his concerns! Even though Hammond called him an 'alarmist' about the raptor breeding program, Muldoon went into the park to save Hammond's grandchildren and then died so that Ellie could live. Without Muldoon none of them would have gotten off the island in the movie. He deserved to get off the island like in the book.
