2 dead, 2 injured in 2-vehicle crash in University Village/ Little Italy
Two people were killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in the Washington Park neighborhood Monday night, according to Chicago police.
The lone occupant of the silver sedan, its male driver, was not hurt and refused medical treatment. But the fatalities and serious injuries came when the red SUV, occupied by four people, “veered off the road and struck a tree,” police said. In the back seat of the red SUV, a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old man had to be “extracted” from SUV, police said. They were taken to University of Chicago Medical Center where both had been listed in fair condition with “unspecified injuries to the body.”
