St. John Vianney's Anthony Knox took out Blair's Leo DeLuca with a late takedown.
, used a late rally to stun Blair’s Leo DeLuca on the Who’s No. 1 wrestling card on Saturday night.
The card used college rules so the takedown was worth three points and the near fall four, giving Knox a 9-3 victory. DeLuca scored a takedown early in the match, coming out on top in a scramble in the first minute for a 3-0 lead. Knox picked up escapes in the first and second period. A rematch could be in the offing to start the high school season as Blair and St. John Vianney are scheduled to appear at the Beast of the East.
