A suspect has been arrested and charged after injuring a toddler in a hit-and-run incident in north Harris County Thursday, deputy constables with Precinct 4 said. precinct4 kprc2 click2houston hounews
Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to reports of a 2-year-old being struck by a vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot located in the 14600 block of Ella Boulevard.The child was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries, deputies said.
According to Precinct 4, witnesses provided investigators with the suspect’s license plate number, and the vehicle was quickly located in the area. The registered owner of the vehicle, who was identified as, Albarran Margarito, 35, was located in his home and after a thorough investigation, he gave a full confession, investigators said.
Margarito was charged with failure to stop and render aid, Constable Herman said in a post on the department’s Facebook page. He was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. His bond and court information have not been set at this time, Herman said.
