We’ll learn full details later this month, but previous spy photos have shown the truck will be fairly evolutionary. However, it will adopt a handful of practical upgrades such as side-mounted steps to improve access to the bed. We can also expect a high-tech interior, which will likely incorporate some features from the newer F-150.
Engine options remain unconfirmed, but previous reports have suggested the truck could be offered with a new 6.8-liter V8 that replaces the current 6.2-liter unit. The latter produces 385 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque, which is slightly less than thewith 430 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. Of course, nothing says Super Duty quite like a turbodiesel engine, and the current model has a 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 pumping out 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque.
