Police are asking for information and videos that could identify driver who ran over and killed Arlington officer.
He said they are asking businesses near the crash scene and along the highway to check their surveillance footage from 6 a.m. to 6:05 a.m. that day to see if there’s anything that might help the investigation.
The sheriff’s office has received some calls in addition to interviews they conducted with people who stopped to help McMichael but are looking for more information, Hernandez said.Arlington police Sgt. Grant Gildon said no one wants justice in the case more than the department.“The past six days have been emotional and difficult for all of us in the Arlington Police Department,” he said. “We’re asking the community to provide any information to bring this case to a conclusion.
Gildon announced that Oak Farms Dairy, who often partners with the city, has pledged $15,000 toward a reward for an arrest. This is in addition to the $5,000 Crime Stoppers is offering.McMichael had been with the Arlington police for 24 years and a member of its motorcycle unit for the past 13. He was previously a patrol officer and a detective in the North Patrol District.
Bill had a message for the suspect: “Do the right thing and please turn yourself in — but if you don’t, we will find you.”McMichael’s funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Crossroads Christian Church in Grand Prairie.

Police recover stolen car from foreign suspect: Bainbridge Township police blotterPolice found a car Sept. 4 reported stolen two days earlier in Cleveland.
