Sean Lynch, a Montclair State University student, was charged with distributing child pornography after his room on campus was searched, authorities said.

Sean Lynch, 21, of Summit, was charged with one count of distribution of child pornography, said U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger. Lynch appeared before Judge Jessica Allen in Newark federal court on Wednesday, officials said. He was released on a $100,000 unsecured bond, with home detention and electronic monitoring.
