, Premme was beloved by the plus-size community for setting a new standard of dressing for curvy girls and raising the bar for what plus-size fashion could look like. The line was an immediate success when it burst onto the scene in 2017. In fact
, serving up trend-savvy, statement-making pieces — crop tops, curve-hugging dresses, bold silhouettes. It was a breath of fresh air in the fashion industry where there aren't many options in plus-size clothing for the majority of American women, let alone, yet most brands don't carry clothes that fit us.
But then Premme came along completely changing the game while rewriting old-school fashion rules around what plus-size women were historically told to avoid. Don't wear crop tops? Stay away from horizontal stripes because they make you appear bigger? Not if Nicolette and Gabi had the last word.
From the beginning, the company carried a robust size range. The pieces came in size 12 to size 30, an impressive offering for any fashion brand, let alone an indie one. They also showcased all of their styles on larger plus-size models, so people could get a better understanding visually of what the clothes would like on them. “We always showed our clothes, both on e-commerce and on social, on visibly plus-size people.
