Class 4A Westminster defeated New Hope 55-28.Madison Academy has won all seven meetings against its fellow Huntsville school. The Mustangs rolled 49-14 last season. ... Madison Academy running back Ken Cherry totaled 218 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns last week against Susan Moore.
Hartselle played five consecutive one-score games prior to its bye week. The last of those was a 20-19 win over Decatur on Oct. 20 in which Noah Smith threw to go-ahead touchdown to Markus Tapscott with 9.2 seconds left in the game. Smith has been the starting quarterback since Landon Blackwood suffered an injury against Gadsden City on Sept. 22. ... Ri Fletcher has sparked the Tigers offense this season, rushing for 958 yards and 13 touchdowns.
