One hurt in New Year’s Day shooting in Harrisburg
Harrisburg police are investigating a New Year's Day fight in the area of 15th and Berryhill streets that left several people hurt and one man shot. Dan Gleiter | [email protected] police continue to investigate a New Year’s Day fight in the area of 15th and Berryhill streets that left five people hurt and one man shot.
City police said officers responded to reports of a fight with shots fired in the 1500 block of Berryhill about 1:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found multiple people at the scene who had been fighting. Four of those persons were initially transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
A short time later, police learned officers in a surrounding jurisdiction had located a gunshot victim at a residence. The victim told police that he had been shot in the leg during the same incident on Berryhill Street, and he was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
