We even have two more musical happenings this weekend that we’ll highlight a little more below, mixed in with some cinema and museum exhibitions to round out this list of things to do this weekend.Trees grow up from the earth and reach up toward their photosynthetic energy source, the sun.
Now in its 18th year, this three-day, volunteer-organized festival brings together street bands from across the country to Somerville for a party like no other. Street bands often use the uninhibited volume of brass and drums and draw on influences of Klezmer, Balkan, Brazilian, Afrobeat, New Orleanian, hip-hop music and more. They capture the attention of those around by performing within the audience. That’s one of the reasons these bands are often so closely.
