On vacation in Stockholm this summer, I became instantly smitten with the Swede's version of the cinnamon bun, a knotted pastry covered in a heavy dusting of earthy ground cardamom. To go the Swedish route, sprinkle your dough with cardamom, brown sugar, and maybe some toasted nuts, and finish with a drizzle of traditional cinnamon roll icing.
