A peaceful, organized morning is possible. (At least some of the time).
. Charge the school-issued devices. Fill the water bottles, and ready the snacks. Sign the folders. Trust me: Doing it in the morning is never the good idea it sounds like it is when you’re tired at night. Just. Pack. The. Backpacks.easy to leave them! But starting the morning with a clean kitchen makes it easier to find what you need, and that will get you out the door quicker.I’m talking every bit of it. I get out the toaster and put a package ofon the counter nearby.

The alarm clock gives them time to adjust to being conscious, so if I have to go in and flip the lights on and “encourage” my sleepyheads to get up, at least they’re that much closer to fully awake.Kids are super capable, and they’ll rise to the occasion if we let them. Let your littles memorize. Show an older child how to toast a bagel and add a smear of cream cheese. My third grader loves making breakfast for the whole family while I help the little ones get dressed.
