A woman died Tuesday in a house fire in north Alabama, fire officials said Wednesday.
Piedmont police, fire and EMS personnel were dispatched Tuesday to Greenwood Road in Piedmont on a call of a structure fire with a person possibly trapped in the house, the Piedmont Fire Department said.Piedmont firefighters and police “made several attempts to reach the victim but were unsuccessful,” the fire department said.
After an hours-long search and rescue operation, Rhodes was found in the home.
