She did remain optimistic about the theater’s reopening, though. “Work continues, and May/June is our guess/hope for a reopening date,” she said in an email.
It would mark a much-needed return for repertory film in the Bay Area. The cinema is known for showing every movie on 35mm and for its affordable prices, with $7 tickets for adults, $5 tickets for children and bags of popcorn for $2.50.
