The 2004 artwork, with an estimate of at least $18 million, joins a 1981 untitled painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat on the auction block
Cy Twombly’s 9-foot tall Untitled was announced on Tuesday as the top lot of Christie’s marquee 21st-century auction with an estimate between US$18 million and US$25 million.
Among these records is Untitled, 2005, a massive 16-foot-wide painting that realized US$46.4 million at Christie’s in November 2017.
