Narrative: On June 10, Christian Madrigal’s family sought medical assistance for their 20-year-old son because he was suffering a mental health crisis, according to a claim filed by civil rights attorney John Burris. When Fremont police arrived, Madrigal’s parents informed the officers that their son had recently been released from the psychiatric hospital for mental health issues and needed to return.
