Marvel Comics has plenty of Superman analogs, but there's one version of the Man of Steel who is critically underrated - and proved it against Thor.
When it comes to Superman analogs, Marvel Comics has no shortage of counterparts to the Man of Steel. From tortured heroes like the Sentry to direct pastiches like Hyperion, there are more than a few characters who could give the Last Son of Krypton a run for his money. But one of Superman’s most direct homages is far too often forgotten - especially because the Gladiator is one of the most powerful of them all.

The fact that Gladiator was able to perceive them at all, let alone actually engage with them and join them on their quest speaks volumes about the sheer speed at which he functions. And it’s incredibly clear that speed is far from Gladiator’s only Superman-level ability.
