While it would certainly appear that traditional galleries and museums are here to stay, it would seem that they just might be able to learn something from their online contemporaries when it comes to leveling the playing field for women artists.

Wilson is also very aware of the fact that the curator club she belongs to is still very much a male field—a white, male field—and so long as brick and mortar galleries and museums continue to hold high esteem in the art market, the art hung in those institutions isn’t likely to change unless those selecting the art start to.
