These Houston homeowners spent roughly $150,000 outfitting their pool house with a custom smoker, a wood-burning fireplace and other high-end touchesA Houston family could stay cool in the pool, but their backyard was too hot for hanging out. The solution: a pool house for al fresco dinners, birthday parties and football-watching in the fall.
They turned to Jeffrey Halper, owner of Exterior Worlds Landscaping & Design, to create a space with touches of Texas style—giant timbers, a limestone fireplace and a smoker for backyard barbecues.
