When a woman can get an abortionWith conservatives now in the majority on the U.S. Supreme Court, anti-abortion advocates see a historic opportunity to overturn or chip away at the constitutional right to abortion established in 1973 underConservative state officials and activists have filed dozens of lawsuits covering issues ranging from banning abortion at six weeks to blocking unaccompanied minor immigrants from ending a pregnancy, even in the case of rape.

Many of those cases have reached the appellate court level, just one step away from the Supreme Court. Here are some of the lawsuits that could upend U.S. abortion rights if the high court chooses to hear them.Most U.S. states require minors seeking abortion to either notify or obtain consent from one or both parents — a policy critics say puts teens with abusive or neglectful parents at risk.
