The country music legend co-hosted the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards with Garth Brooks on May 11 in Texas.
Yearwood and Brooks have been married since 2005, while Parton wedded Carl Thomas Dean in 1996.
Parton also sang a beautiful tribute to the late Loretta Lynn and Naomi Judd at the ceremony. She crooned the tune “Precious Memories” to honor the country stars, who both died last year. After the song, Parton called Lynn “a hero and one of the most important, but still down-to-earth singer-songwriters in history.”AFP via Getty Images
“And of course Naomi and I, well, we’re the same age, both real G.O.A.Ts, Capricorns, and we loved big hair,” she went on. “I still do. And we loved that makeup. But above all else, we loved each other.”“Tonight we lovingly remember all those we’ve lost in our country music family,” he stated. “And we promise to do our best to keep the circle forever unbroken in their memory.”at the age of 90 at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
