BREAKING Active shooter reported in Philadelphia, several police officers have been shot
Several Philadelphia police officers have been shot in the Nicetown-Tioga area of the city. The officers were taken to the nearby Temple University Hospital. According to police, the injuries are believed to be non-life threatening. At least one suspect is in custody, though there is still an active shooter.Police say a pedestrian has also been injured.Police first were called to the scene for narcotics activityThe shooting is at a house near the Temple University Health Sciences Center.
According to Sgt. Eric Gripp the suspect is still firing. Gripp also asked the media to stop broadcasting officers' positions, implying that the shooter is monitoring the coverage.The shooting has been confirmed to not be on the Temple University campus, but at a house nearby.The shooting was reported to be on campus at the Temple University Health Sciences Center. On Twitter, Temple University reported that a lockdown is in effect at that campus.

Police are responding.According to WCAU, the shooting started at 4:30 p.m."Officer calls for everything you got. SWAT, long gun," a law enforcement officer said according to the station."I got an officer shot."
