It might be hard to accept, but some kids with ADHD may not be dishonest as much as they are victims of uncontrolled ADHD symptoms. When you look at their lying problem through that lens, new solutions take shape.

Have a heartfelt talk with your teen about the serious consequences of breaking the trust between the two of you. Equally important, tell him how he can repair it.
