If you're tired of getting off work at 5 p.m. in darkness in Alabama winters, there might be change in store. There's a bipartisan effort — which U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama has joined — to make daylight saving time permanent in much of the U.S.
In a new Congress, Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama again wants to eliminate the changing of clocks in the spring and the fall.
“Alabamians have overwhelmingly expressed their support for the Sunshine Protection Act, and I promised them I’d continue pushing to do away with the outdated practice of adjusting our clocks twice a year,”
