JUNEAU — The Alaska House of Representatives was expected to vote Monday morning to remove Rep. David Eastman, R-Wasilla, from legislative committees. In a 5-2 vote, the House’s Committee on Committees voted early Monday to remove Eastman from legislative committees in response to his membership in the Oath Keepers, a far-right paramilitary organization whose leadersduring the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of former President Donald Trump.
The committee’s report must be adopted by the full House, and lawmakers said they expect an extensive debate Monday morning. The debates will be broadcast on
