Wildfires flourishing in record\u002Dbreaking hot, dry weather forced the evacuation of the entire town of Drayton Valley, west of Edmonton, Thursday night.

A reception centre for evacuees has since been established in Hall C at the Edmonton EXPO Centre, 7515 118 Ave. For more information, evacuees are urged to call 780-542-7777. Close to 7,000 residents call the town of Drayton Valley home.
