Honor Camilo Sesto by listening to his beloved ballads, from 'Algo de Mi' to '¿Quieres Ser Mi Amante?'
Camilo Sesto presents a new song with the Pope Francis voice at San Anton Church on Dec. 5, 2016 in Madrid., who passed away Saturday night at the age of 72.
The heartbreaking news was shared on the singer’s official Twitter account: “We are very sorry to inform you that our great and dear artist Camilo Sesto has just left us. Rest in peace.” The cause of death was not made public at the time of the announcement, though Sesto has had occasional health problems following a liver transplant in 2001.
Kicking off his career in the 1960s, Sesto was one of the most iconic voices in Latin pop of the ‘70s and ‘80s. His romantic repertoire included songs about unconditional love, heartbreak and meaningful life lessons that will forever transcend generations. Sesto was scheduled to tour the U.S. in October, beginning with a show at Coliseo de Puerto Rico on Oct. 3. A posthumous album is slated for a September 13 release. On Sept. 16, Sesto would have turned 73 years old."Algo de Mi"
