StarWarsCelebration 2023 has gotten underway in style with the announcement of three new StarWars films that will span the entire series’ timeline.
Star Wars Celebration 2023 has kicked off the Star Wars convention in a massive way by revealing three new films as part of the franchise's cinematic future. Since the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker in 2019, the cinematic presence of the franchise has been in complete disarray. From the announcement and subsequent cancellation of multiple Star Wars films such as Rogue Squadron and Kevin Feige's film among others, Star Wars' only success since 2019 has come on Disney+.
What We Know About Star Wars' Dawn Of The Jedi The first of Star Wars' three new movies comes in the form of Dawn of the Jedi. While the title is still unofficial, Lucasfilm revealed a graphic on stage at Star Wars Celebration spanning the entire timeline, with Dawn of the Jedi being listed as the era before the Old Republic. It was confirmed that a Star Wars film would be set in this period, over 25000 years before the events of the Skywalker Saga.
Alongside this trio will likely be the live-action version of the Star Wars: Rebels crew that has been confirmed to appear in Ahsoka. Similarly, it is highly likely that the main antagonist of Filoni's Mandalorian movie will be Grand Admiral Thrawn, with all shows in the Mando universe seemingly building to this plot point.
