The Polestar 5 and 2 BST edition 270 make their debuts at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Who's excited?
Silent it may very well be, but the Polestar Precept concept cut through the noise at last year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed with its sharp design and sleek silhouette. Now the EV maker has announced that it will go one better and show the forthcoming production version, called the Polestar 5, at this year’s event.
Technical details are predictably scarce, but the manufacturer says the 5 uses a bespoke, lightweight bonded aluminium chassis that’s both easy to produce and is better for the environment. It comes with performance benefits, too, with Polestar claiming that the new platform will offer greater torsional rigidity than a “traditional two-seat sports or supercar.” Which is impressive.
