The pitcher responsible for the first (and only) no-hitter in the history of the New York Mets is longing for a hit with the sale of his southwest Florida home.
The former All-Star Johan Santana commissioned this glorious mansion in Miromar Lakes, FL, in 2009, while he was starring for the Mets.
You have to pass through three gates before you enter the home; the main gate of the development, a secondary gate that goes into the neighborhood, and then a third gate where the home is.Once through the gates, you’ll find a a six-bedroom, seven-bathroom mansion built with quality materials throughout.
The bedroom opens onto a landing area with a fireplace, she says, which offers a great place to hang out.For feeding a crowd, there’s a large gourmet kitchen and a generous pantry—which can also double as a storm safe room.For overnight guests, the first-floor guest suite is equipped with its own patio.
“I feel the buyer is going to be somebody with a large family that wants to be with their kids or grandkids and entertain. They can do all of that under one roof,” she says. “It’s a great way to just have a family vacation and be all together, but at the same time in their own private areas within the home.”“When you go into the home, you feel like you’re in your own little section of the universe, because it’s so private. You don’t have any sense of a neighbor.
