The nonprofit, which has relocated to Ruffin Road, held an ice cream social to celebrate the move
Alzheimer’s San Diego has moved to a new home and to celebrate, the nonprofit held an ice cream social and grand opening Thursday during the annual San Diego Gives fundraising event.
Moving to the new space allowed the nonprofit to custom design the interior space to better suit its needs. Instead of cubicles, staff now have individual offices to help ensure privacy when holding sensitive, personal meetings with clients. Although the new space is now open and offering some in-person activities and classes, staff continues to offer some virtual education and activities for those who prefer it.“Some people really do like virtual, even during a more normal circumstance, so we have kept those things in our toolkit, so we are now mixing it up,” Welch said.
