, Houston Methodist Hospital, the Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children’s Hospital and the Alzheimer’s Association have partnered to host “Let’s Talk About Alzheimer’s Research: A Community Event” to provide community members with information about ongoing research studies taking place at these Texas Medical Center institutions on Alzheimer’s disease and related causes of dementia.
This event will be held on Friday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute, 1250 Moursund St., Houston, TX 77030. The event is free and open to the public. During the two-hour program experts will explain Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, if early detection is possible, how genetic testing can be used, current research opportunities, and how to participate/enroll in those initiatives. Organizers note space for the event is limited and registration is required.
