Although American Horror Story is an anthology TV series, the appearances and references of characters and events in different seasons have made way for an AHS connected universe, which peaked in season 8, Apocalypse, which brought together Murder House, Coven, and Hotel.

Set in 2017, in the fictional suburb of Brookfield Heights, Michigan, during the aftermath of Donald Trump winning the 2016 U.S. presidential election, Cult follows Kai Anderson as he forms a cult that terrorizes the town, especially Ally Mayfair-Richards .
