'American Idol' contestant Kya Monée touched the hearts of judges during auditions in the Season 21 premiere with a tribute to her late friend and former Season 19 contestant Willie Spence
Monée returned to the audition room on Sunday, telling judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie that she had a “very, very close relationship” with Spence. She added that she was still “trying to cope” with his untimely passing.
