There’s no mistaking a LoveShackFancy affair, and Friday night in Sagaponack was no exception. Parked in the driveway of founder Rebecca Hessel-Cohen’s seaside home were not one but two beach-ready automobiles—a vintage white Mercedes 280SL convertible and a pink Moke cruiser—both overflowing with fanciful floral textiles. These were just a small taste of the brand’s first collection of bedding and wallpaper, which launches online and in-store today.
Inside, the unapologetically pink decor continued in every imaginable form—table runners, charger plates, party crackers, floral arrangements by Missi Flowers, a seemingly endless supply of bows, and yes, even Cohen’s ensemble for the evening—came in the evening’s signature hue. “I call it matchimalistic style,” Cohen quipped toduring cocktails. “So you’ll see the same pattern on my dress, my daughters’ dresses, my husband’s sweatshirt, the pink printed bow barrettes at each place setting.
Joining her were a slew of LoveShackFancy obsessives like Casey Fremont, and Lili Buffet, who sported a white lace gown. “It’s feminine and elegant and light, and feels like it may have come from the Victorian era,” Buffet said of her look. “I think I’m going to rewear it for my 10th anniversary later this month.” Also out in full force were fellow brand founders showing their support, including Mrs.
Local catering concept Little Gem served up a selection of summer favorites like zucchini and summer squash ribbons with shaved pecorino and rainbow beet terrine with chevre and thyme. Chef Stephanie Nass provided a sweet treat to end the evening in the form of miniature floral-printed cakes.
