A 33-year-old Anchorage man faces first- and second-degree murder charges in connection with a Memorial Day shooting outside a Spenard hotel.
Police say Nathan Williams shot and killed 34-year-old Shnon Choi in the early morning shooting outside the Chelsea Inn, according to court documents filed in the case. Williams was arrested last week and remained in custody Wednesday at the Anchorage Correctional Complex on $750,000 cash bail, according to an onlinePolice said they also arrested a hotel employee captured on camera tampering with security video after the shooting.
Williams fled after the shooting, and Choi died at the scene, the complaint said. An autopsy showed that he had a bullet entry wound in the center of his back, just below his neck, it said.
