OKLAHOMA CITY — As soon as the Warriors got back Andre Iguodala, he was gone again.over the Thunder on Monday — his first minutes in eight games, or more than two weeks — but never returned after halftime. He felt his back tighten up, coach Steve Kerr said afterward, describing Iguodala’s health as a “concern.”
“He hasn’t played and then his first game back it tightens up. It’s definitely a concern,” Kerr said. “We need him. You can see how good he was in that first half. He just does so many things for us. I’m definitely concerned.” In 6 minutes Monday, Iguodala knocked down an open 3-pointer, facilitated two more baskets, grabbed two rebounds and forced a steal. In the second half, Kerr turned to rookie Moses Moody, who contributed a pair of buckets, including a 3-pointer, and earned rave reviews from Kerr afterward.
“Moses played in Andre’s minutes and did a great job,” Kerr said. “It was nice to get him some really key moments in a pressurized game. I thought he handled it beautifully.” Iguodala has been effective when on the court — 7.9 points per 36 minutes in addition to a career high in assists and a near-career high in rebounds — but the Warriors have played more games without their savvy veteran than they have with him .
