Scream VI is packed with brutal deaths, but Anika’s death is even worse once you realize who was the Ghostface who killed her. The Scream franchise continues riding the wave of reboots/requels after the success of Scream 2022, and it wasted no time in continuing to tell the stories of a new generation of characters in the sixth installment in the saga, simply titled Scream VI.

Of course, that didn’t stop the emergence of a new Ghostface killer, who showed no mercy to its victims and delivered some of the most brutal deaths in the Scream franchise.
The Fact That Ethan Killed Anika In Scream 6 Makes Her Death Sadder Scream VI was a first in the franchise as it’s the first movie to have three Ghostface killers: Wayne Bailey , Quinn Bailey , and Ethan, all of them relatives of Scream 2022's killer Richie Kirsch . The three went to lengths to make sure nobody suspected they were the killers, to the point where they faked Quinn’s death in front of the rest of the group, as Ghostface made an appearance at Sam and Tara’s apartment.
Ethan and Quinn befriended Tara’s group and they played their parts quite well, and while Ethan was treated as the “new guy” and the rest were sometimes mean to him, he had a friendship with Anika, as seen in their interactions after the Halloween party at the frat house, where they switched costume hats. Anika was stabbed and struggled to escape when Sam’s boyfriend and neighbor, Danny, helped them cross to his apartment with a ladder.
Why Anika's Scream 6 Ladder Death Will Be So Memorable Ghostface killers surely get more and more creative in each movie, and unfortunately for Anika, her death will be one of the most memorable ones in the franchise.
