Exclusive: Anna “Delvey” Sorokin spills about her next act—dinner parties on house arrest.

And the aspirational and undisclosed guest list will include a curated group of celebrities, journalists, founders, and CEOs.
According to Sorokin, the dinners aren’t just about social clout and reestablishing herself in New York’s most elite networks post-prison. “I see it as an opportunity to bring attention to causes that are bigger than me and not just use it as, like, “What am I going to wear?’” she tells me over Zoom. “It’s up to me to show the world what I’m going to do with all this attention.
During my interview with Sorokin, she talks about her ambitions for the dinner series, how she thinks she’s evolved since her days as Anna Delvey, and all the meals she’s ordering for delivery now.I’m operating within my existing constraints because I’m on house arrest. I cannot go to anybody’s dinner party, so I have to do something of my own. I’m sure this is going to get pretty old pretty fast. I’m just in my apartment all the time, and this is really the only possible solution that I have.
I would also love for the dinners to be focused on what ingredients are in season now, and maybe a little bit farm-to-table, locally-sourced. I really like those ugly vegetables fromCan you tell me some of the guests you’ll be inviting? [Sorokin asks her publicist if she can answer this question.] We are in talks with people, but I don’t want to jinx it. [Sorokin’s publicist interjects, saying the guest list will be “very curated” but dependent on who is available.]Everything literally just happened last Thursday [after the leaked email]. I would definitely get different furnishings. But I’m not trying to keep too much stuff here. This space is pretty small, so I’d rather have more room and less furniture because I’m by myself.
