Apple designed a custom trophy for the first Apple Music Awards
in Cupertino on Wednesday, the spot on the company's campus where keynotes are held.

Billie Eilish, who will be performing a livestreamed concert at the ceremony, won artist of the year.According to Apple, the winners for global artist of the year, songwriter of the year, and breakthrough artist were chosen by Apple Music's editorial team, while album and song of the year were chosen based on streaming data on the service.
